Ask Michael: A Look At My Trip To Brazil

Posted by cfmartinguitar

My latest work trip had me visiting a sawmill in Manuel Urbano Brazil. Here are some snapshots from the trip:

Taking a rest on a slab of mahogany at the Agrocortex sawmill. The average temperature during my trip was 95 degrees with a humidity of about 95%.

A close up look at one of the logs. Look closely for the silly face I drew.

This mahogany log was about 5 foot tall and will be used for necks, backs, and sides of Martin guitars.

Thanks for taking the time to check out some photos from Brazil. As always Martin Guitar is committed to responsible forestry. You can learn about Martin Guitar's responsible timber purchasing policy here.
