Tommy Emmanuel CGP - Martin FX to Great Effect

Posted by cfmartinguitar

The word virtuoso usually conjures images of long-tailed coats behind grand pianos, and shredders usually bring to mind blistering solos and rock gods. Tommy Emmanuel (www.tommyemmanuel.com), to be sure, is both. One of the great masters of his instrument, able to infuse any piece with bounce, heart, groove, and guts, laying into the rhythm and lead lines all at once, Emmanuel has been playing guitar since he was 4, and you can bet it shows. Don't take our word for it - here's a video of this shredder/virtuoso doing what he does best:

We've long been proud to have Tommy choose to play Martin FX Flexible Core strings to tear into when he tears it up onstage. Maybe it's the feel of the strings, maybe it's the way they sing from deep in the body of his guitar, or maybe it's because the advanced thin wire can take a beating and keep on ringing, but together, Tommy Emmanuel and Martin FX strings have been music to our ears.

Recently, after performing at the nearby Musikfest Cafe in Bethlehem, PA, Tommy was kind enough to stop by and hang out with some of our staff; below are some photos from his visit. Be sure to check Tommy out on tour now - dates here!
